Television star and comedian Roseanne Barr has officially sold her 46-acre macadamia nut farm in Honokaʻa for $2.6 million, closing the deal for $650,000 over the asking price. The property, one of Hawai‘i Island’s most recognized estates, went on the market in August for $2 million and drew more than ten offers.

The oceanside ranch includes a primary residence, pool and waterslide, art studio, and greenhouse — surrounded by working orchards of macadamia trees and open coastal acreage.

According to Paul Stukin, owner of Deep Blue HI and representative for the sale, “Finding the right buyer was more important to us than simply choosing the highest bidder. We wanted someone who would be a good steward and malama ʻāina, to protect and care for the land.”

Barr described the sale as deeply personal: “I raised my children there and loved that home deeply, but at this stage in my life, the farm was just too much work. I’m too darn old for it now.”

The property was purchased by a neighboring cattle rancher — a fitting continuation of the land’s agricultural legacy and a reflection of Hawai‘i’s strong market for heritage estates that blend stewardship, productivity, and place.
